Anamaria is an Romanian actor. She won the British Academy Television Award of Best Actress during the Channel 4 Film Sex Traffic. French, German English and Romanian are all spoken fluently. The father of her mother was an actor as well as her mother was a violinist. In 2000, the Young Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. In 2008 The European Film Promotion Board recognized her as a European Shooting Star. In addition to her stellar performance in the film, Anamaria Marinca will be remembered for the role she played in Romanian artist film 4 months 3, Weeks 2 Days. The film was awarded several awards, including an award called the European Film Award Best Actress from the British Film Critics. In 2007, she starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 saptamani si 2 zile (4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 days) by Cristian Mungiu. It received the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two additional awards (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI award). Youth Without Youth by Francis Ford Coppola was another film in which she appeared. In 2008 she appeared as Yasim Anwar on the BBC five-episode miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca was a part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven as also in the Romanian film Boogie. In the film Fury (2014) in which she was Irma she was an German woman, who served as Emma's aunt.
