Antonia Lofaso
The cuisine of Chef Antonia is an invitation for guests to explore the depths. Her interest in food after moving from the suburbs of Long Island to the diverse cultural landscape of Los Angeles. Her belief that cavatelli and carnitas can co-exist effortlessly on a menu reveals a taste that is constantly evolving. But what remains throughout her menu is a singular vision towards the future, while also reminiscing about the old. Scopa Italian Roots, which Lofaso created in 2013 was a huge success due to the fact that it was influenced by her Italian tradition. Lofaso's interpretation of old-school Italian is hailed as one of the most compelling places to enjoy Italian food located in Los Angeles. The food at Lofaso is always delicious, welcoming and pleasing. Lofaso apprenticed under culinary legends and absorbed their sophisticated techniques but she was not afraid to take extraordinary risks to be true to her own instincts. Within a few years, Lofaso rose to the highest level at Wolfgang Puck's Spago. In the following years, she worked with many famous celebrities and transformed a variety of Los Angeles restaurants. Lofaso joined forces along with Sal Aurora to create Black Market Liquor Bar which was a new bar within Studio City. The Lofaso is now settling within Black Market, and through the alliances she made. Lofaso would find the freedom to create the work she longed for through this partnership. Black Market doesn't have one particular direction. This is the intention. One course may begin with potatoes chips, peppers and dill, followed by Korean wings and meatballs. Antonia's distinctive flavors form the basis of these daring flavors. Lofaso measured her professional success based on her ability to understand and remain real to her viewers. She's been on of many television shows, like Top Chef Chicago, Top Chef: All Stars as well as Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child on The Food Network and ABC's Real O'neals. Her talents continue to be recognized as a judge for CNBC's Restaurant Startup. The book also tells the story of her challenges while she studied at The French Culinary Institute. She had a daughter, Xea also. Lofaso says that her passion to cook is the main force behind her achievements. She continues to be on top of things through keeping a keen eye on trends and fashion. Chefletics transforms the appearance of Chefwear with its emphasis on style and functionality. Lofaso is a firm believer that adhering to the vision you have set is essential.
